Farrelly Road (Kipp Rd to Gypsum Valley Rd)

Farrelly Road between Kipp Road and Gypsum Valley Road will be closed to through traffic beginning March 5, 2020 due to a condition of an existing drainage structure.  Farrelly Road will be closed for an undetermined amount of time.  It is Saline County’s intention to replace the drainage structure in the near future.  Motorists are advised to allow a few extra minutes of travel time to reach their destinations.  Local and emergency traffic will be provided access to private property within the sections of closed road at all times but only from the side upon which the property lies.

Gypsum Valley Road (Country Club Road to Crawford Street)

Gypsum Valley Road from Country Club road south to Crawford Street was closed August 7, 2019 indefinitely to through traffic due to flood damage to the existing road and to permit the Saline County Road and Bridge Department Engineering staff the opportunity to perform an assessment of the encroachment of the river bank into the roadway. Therefore, motorists are advised to allow a few extra minutes of travel time to reach their destinations. Local and emergency traffic will be provided access to private property within the sections of closed road at all times but only from the half mile side upon which the property lies.

McReynolds Road (Halstead Road to Burma Road)

McReynolds Road between Halstead Road and Burma Road is closed to through traffic due to a bridge being damaged.  The bridge will be closed indefinitely. Motorists are advised to allow a few extra minutes of travel time to reach their destinations.  Local and emergency traffic will be provided access to private property within the sections of closed road at all times but only from the side upon which the property lies.

Niles Road from Tinkler Road to Assaria Road is closed till a  Cross Road Drainage Culvert is replaced at a later date

Stimmel Road (Jasper Road to Gypsum Valley Road)

Stimmel Road, from Jasper Road east to Gypsum Valley Road was closed August 7, 2019 indefinitely to through traffic due to the flood damage to the existing road and to permit the Saline County Road and Bridge Department Engineering staff the opportunity to perform an assessment of the encroachment of the river bank into the roadway. Water Well Road (Burma Rd to Lightville Rd)

Water Well Road between Burma Road and Lightville Road will be closed to through traffic beginning next week Tuesday, May 26, 2020 and will remain closed for a few months. The road closure is needed for the construction of a road improvement project.  A detour route will be signed for the project.  The detour route will run north of Water Well Road for 2 miles on Burma Road, then 1 mile west on Magnolia Road to Lightville Road, then 2 miles south on Lightville Road to Water Well Road.    

Access to homes will be maintained at all times.  However, depending on the phase of construction, access may only be obtained from the west end or the east end of the project at a time.  Therefore, motorist are advised to allow a few extra minutes of travel time to reach their destination.

On Friday of last week, Saline County installed signs on either end of the project informing traffic that the road will be closed on May 20th.  These signs will be adjusted to show May 26th
