Road Closures

Cloud Street (Gypsum Valley Rd to Donmyer Rd)

Cloud Street between Gypsum Valley Rd. and Donmyer Rd will be closed to through traffic starting tomorrow Friday October 15, 2021 through Monday October 18, 2021. Saline County is replacing a cross road drainage culvert. Weather permitting the roadway will be opened by the end of Monday.  Motorists are advised to allow a few extra minutes of travel time to reach their destinations.  Local and emergency traffic will be provided access to private property within the sections of closed road at all times but only from the side upon which the property lies.

Gypsum Valley Road (Country Club Road to Crawford Street)

Gypsum Valley Road from Country Club road south to Crawford Street was closed August 7, 2019 indefinitely to through traffic due to flood damage to the existing road and to permit the Saline County Road and Bridge Department Engineering staff the opportunity to perform an assessment of the encroachment of the river bank into the roadway. Therefore, motorists are advised to allow a few extra minutes of travel time to reach their destinations. Local and emergency traffic will be provided access to private property within the sections of closed road at all times but only from the half mile side upon which the property lies.

Kipp Road (Schilling Road to Water Well Road)

Kipp Road between Schilling Road and Water Well Road will be closed to traffic beginning October 6, 2021 for the replacement of drainage structures. Weather permitting the roadway should be opened by October 22, 2021.  Local traffic are asked to find alternate routes around the project area.  Local and emergency traffic will be provided access to private property within the sections of closed road at all times but only from the side upon which the property lies.

McReynolds Road (Halstead Road to Burma Road)

McReynolds Road between Halstead Road and Burma Road is closed to through traffic due to a bridge being damaged.  The bridge will be closed indefinitely. Motorists are advised to allow a few extra minutes of travel time to reach their destinations.  Local and emergency traffic will be provided access to private property within the sections of closed road at all times but only from the side upon which the property lies.

Old 40 Highway (Old 40 Highway and Amos Road)

Old 40 Highway and Amos Road will be closed at the intersection of Old 40 Highway west of Solomon Monday October 18 by the Kyle Railroad to work on the crossing at the intersection. The work is tentatively anticipated to be completed during the daytime hours of October 18. Local traffic is asked to find alternate routes during construction.

 

State Street (Broadway Blvd to West Old 40 Hwy.)

Saline County Road and Bridge Department is closing State St from Broadway to Old 40 Friday October 15, 2021 to through traffic. The closure is to put the lane markings and RR markings on the new asphalt overlay. It will be closed from 9 AM – 3:30 PM

Stimmel Road (Jasper Road to Gypsum Valley Road)

Stimmel Road, from Jasper Road east to Gypsum Valley Road was closed August 7, 2019 indefinitely to through traffic due to the flood damage to the existing road and to permit the Saline County Road and Bridge Department Engineering staff the opportunity to perform an assessment of the encroachment of the river bank into the roadway. Therefore, motorists are advised to allow a few extra minutes of travel time to reach their destinations. Local and emergency traffic will be provided access to private property within the sections of closed road at all times but only from the half mile side upon which the property lies.
