PRIMARY ELECTION– Tuesday, August 2

Party Change Deadline for the Primary – June 10th at Noon

 

Voter Registration Deadline for the Primary – July 12th at 8pm

 

GENERAL ELECTION – Tuesday, November 8

All Filing Fees are 1% of the Salary K.S.A. 25-206

All Report Fees are to the Governmental Ethics Commission and the Secretary of State’s Office

Republican & Democrat Petitions are 3% of the Party Registration in the district (October 2021 Certification)

Independent Petitions are 4% of voters in the district except township offices (10 or 5%) (Independent candidates can ONLY file by petition. Upon filing a valid petition and paying the Report Fee (if required), the candidate’s name will be placed directly on the general ballot. An independent candidate must be registered as an unaffiliated voter

Precinct Committee Members are not charged any fees. Form must be notarized.

Ballot drop boxes are open 20 days prior to Election Day.

 

Ballot must be returned to the ballot drop box by 7 p.m. on Election Day
