To provide quality public service to all citizens and preserve all real estate and related documents with professionalism.
Function of Office:
The Register of Deeds office files and records documents that pertain to real estate. These documents include, but are not limited to, deeds, affidavits, mortgages, assignments, releases, oil and gas leases, agreements, easements, powers of attorney, plats, surveys, real estate related death certificates, UCC’s including certain federal and state tax liens, auto mechanic liens and military discharges, (closed by state statute)
All records in this office are open to the public with the exception of the Kansas Real Estate Sales Validation Questionnaire (SVQ) and military discharges, closed by State statute. No cameras are allowed due to security reasons.

Be sure to check out the FAQ’s (frequently asked questions) before you begin. We have adopted PRIA standards for indexing affective 1/1/2016. Therefore, the way we index the party names has changed.
PASSPORTS: We are your Passport Application Acceptance Agents for the U.S. Department of State. We will accept applications from 8:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. Monday through Friday. Please visit www.travel.state.gov for detailed information.
