Livestock and Expo Center

Functions include:
Livestock & Expo Center: Responsible for Kenwood Park grounds, including Ag Hall, 4-H Building, Kenwood Hall, Tri-Rivers Stadium and livestock barns; coordinate scheduling of events and support for Saline County Fair.

Farm Division: Manage 1,100-acre farm according to established conservation and experimentation guidelines.

Funding for the maintenance of the Saline County Livestock and Expo Center is authorized by Kansas Statute 19-2801. This statute provides for the levy of taxes to establish and maintain public parks and recreation grounds used generally by residents of the county.

The Saline County Livestock and Expo Center is committed to providing a high quality, multi-purpose facility to meet the needs of the people of Saline County, the State of Kansas, and the entire nation. The Center seeks to enhance the quality of life through recreation, banquets and livestock shows of all kinds.

To fulfill it's mission, the Saline County Livestock and Expo Center is dedicated to providing service that is personable and friendly and to develop a work force that is well-trained with effective leadership. 

SERVICE DESCRIPTION
Oversee projects and farming methods on 1,100 acre farm owned by Saline County
Host livestock shows (horses, cattle, swine, sheep, rabbits, dogs, etc.
Organize and set up for County Fair, Farm Show, etc.
Host rodeos and bull riding contests
Rent facilities and set up for auctions
Rent facilities and set up for dinners, receptions and meetings
